The objective of the following worksheet is to present an alternative to test students on the use of simple past and past perfect through examples that require the appropriate tense according to the situation. The following pop quiz focuses on the difference between Simple Past and Past Perfect so students can identify when and how to use them. Students have to read the sentences and understand the situation in order to decide if its Simple Past or Past Perfect so the sentence makes sense. The test does not present an answer key. It has been included extra exercises related to the use of –ed and –ing adjectives at the end of the test just in case the content about past tense is connected in a certain way with the use of  –ed and –ing  adjectives.

el pasado perfecto se usa para dar expresiones que se hicieron en el pasado que tuvieron continuidad pero que ya han terminado en el presente, en esta hoja se practicaran como elaborar oraciones en afirmativo, negativo y pregunta

en este tiempo verbal se expresan acontecimientos que sucedieron en el pasado pero que ya no se realizan en este momento, aqui se analizara la estructura de este tiempo verbal

The objective of the following worksheet is to present an alternative to practice in a funny way some of the most common verbs in past by using a song known between teens nowadays like Coldplay. The worksheet tries to combine student´s interest with English content by using songs that are related with the grammar. Students have to listen to the song and complete it with the verbs in past, besides listening to the verbs while the song is playing they can read it in present and remember the past form of it. Teacher may ask students to use the verbs into a new song, a story etc. It’s up to the teacher to design extra activities after completing the worksheet. The answer key is not included on the document. The worksheet might be useful if it´s done in couples. Teacher can play the song twice before using this document.
