Anne Frank and Her Diary

The objective of the following worksheet is to present an alternative to practice in a funny way some of the most common verbs in past by using a song known between teens nowadays like Coldplay. The worksheet tries to combine student´s interest with English content by using songs that are related with the grammar. Students have to listen to the song and complete it with the verbs in past, besides listening to the verbs while the song is playing they can read it in present and remember the past form of it. Teacher may ask students to use the verbs into a new song, a story etc. It’s up to the teacher to design extra activities after completing the worksheet. The answer key is not included on the document. The worksheet might be useful if it´s done in couples. Teacher can play the song twice before using this document.

This activity is based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollo, written by Washington Irving. The students will revise the events of the story and practise the simple past.

Este trabajo está basado en "Duck Song  2 by Bryant Oden and animated by Forrest Whaley"  y tomando como referencia el trabajo de Péter László (Kisdobos), colaborador de esta pagina, quien amablemente subió el storyboard de The Duck Song 1, por lo cual le atribuyo plenamente la idea original, y solo quise hacer la continuacion de este trabajo para la segunda parte de esta cancion.

Se puede trabajar llenando los espacios con las lineas de la cancion, previamente escuchada, y posteriormente recortarlas y hacer un dominó o relacionar lineas con ilustraciones.
